If u have a xbox 360 wireless adaptor do u still need to have an internet connection to play xbox live?

Ofcourse you still need internet access. The wireless adapter connects, wirelessly, to your wireless router. The wireless router connects to your broadband modem. The modem connects your Xbox to the internet.
